Holland Lop Mini Plush

Mini Plush Lops are a new breed in the US, a very rare specialty bunny. They are the perfect little bundle of everything you could ever want in a bunny; they have the sweetest personalities. They are 2-4# full grown. They have the cutest floppy ears and the most velvety fur. The best thing about these bunnies is they don’t shed. Mini Plush bunnies molt just twice a year. They do not produce dander and are hypoallergenic.

The Mini Plush Lop was developed by a breeder in Ohio. Her name is Devie D’Anniballe. Devie, along with others, set out to create a rabbit that would combine the traits of the Mini Rex’s silky velvet fur with the body type and ears of a Holland Lop. In 1995, the group started to breed what they thought would be the perfect rabbit, but after two years, they were unsuccessful. Ms.D’Anniblle, now on her own, began including and mixing other breeds to achieve the standard she sought. She began to work exclusively with a total of four breeds. These breeds were Holland Lop, Mini Rex, Mini Lop, and Netherland Dwarf. The Holland Lop was used for its compact body type and temperament. The Mini Rex was used for its velvety plush fur. The Mini Lop was used to widen the crown and allow the ears to lop. The Netherland Dwarf was used for its small size. After working tirelessly for 12 long years, the Mini Plush Lop was born.

My Mini Plush Lops are direct descendants of Ms. D’Anniblle lines.
